Guwahati: Second COVID-19 death has been reported in Assam on Thursday night.
According to reports, a 16-year old girl died of fever. After suspicion Doctors conducted her swab test and she was found COVID-19 positive after her death.
The girl is among the four new COVID-19 positive patients who have been detected positive in Guwahati.
It is to be mentioned that on Thursday eight people were tested positive in Assam and four among them were detected in Guwahati, taking the total state tally to 53.
The first death in Assam due to complications related to COVID-19 was reported on Friday, 10 April and the patient was undergoing treatment at the Silchar Medical College and Hospital. The deceased was a 65-year-old retired BSF personnel from Hailakandi district of Assam
