Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday, visited embankment of Pahumara River which was breached at Gahinpara in Barpeta district due to incessant rain.
CM Sonowal took the stock of the flooded area and reviewed the repair and relief works which are being carried out on a war footing.
CM Sonowal was accompanied by Minister of Water Resources Keshab Mahanta and BJP state president Ranjit Kumar Dass.
Taking to his twitter CM Sonowal said, ” The recent breach of Pahumara river embankment at Gahinpara near Pathsala has flooded the area causing huge damage. Repair and relief works are being carried out now on a war footing. Inspected the site today with colleagues @keshab_mahanta & @RanjeetkrDass”.
