GUWAHATI: “BPF is not at all associated with the arson of All Bodo Students’ Union office at Rupahi. It was done by some miscreants to create mistrust between BPF and ABSU,” clarified Bodoland People’s Front Salbari district committee president Milan Bodo today.
It needs to be mentioned that the office of the regional unit of ABSU at Rupahi under Baksa district was set on fire by miscreants on December 31 night. Several properties and documents belonging to the students’ union were damaged and torched by the miscreants. Following which some people vandalized an office of BPF suspecting involvement of Youth BPF members in the incident.
Meanwhile, addressing a joint press conference with ABSU leaders at Rupahi, BPF leader Milan Bodo condemned both the incidents and demanded strict action against the culprits.
General Secretary of ABSU Rupahi regional committee Ukul Narzary requested everyone to maintain peace and harmony so that no such untoward incidents can take place again.
