There were 12 deaths and 52 injuries caused by mass shootings on Halloween weekend throughout the United States, according to an analysis from data from Gun Violence Archive.

Several of the mass shootings, which took place between Friday, Oct. 29, and Sunday, Oct. 31, occurred in areas with crowds, according to CNN.

The organization describes a mass shooting as an incident when a “minimum of four victims shot, either injured or killed, not including any shooter who may also have been killed or injured in the incident.”
