Guwahati: Indian ace boxers Lovlina Borgohain and Shiva Thapa from Assam are amongst the 19 semi-finalists to represent India in the 2021 Asian Boxing Championship held in Dubai.
Shiva Thapa, a four-time medalist hailing from Guwahati, Assam, is aiming for a fifth consecutive podium finish.
He prepared to face reigning champion Bakhodur Usmonov of Tajikistan in the 64kg category semifinal on Friday, and Lovlina is prepared to face Uzbekistan in the 69 kg match.
It would be interesting to see both the players playing tonight for the country.
