GUWAHATI: Assam has registered 1,272 fresh COVID-19 cases out of the 18,435 tests done on Sunday. The positivity rate of the day is 6.89 per cent. With the addition of the new cases, the total count of the state reached 90,740.

On the other hand, 8 more deaths were reported in Assam on Sunday. The death count now stands at 242.
