GUWAHATI: With the addition of 936 cases on Friday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Assam has crossed the 15000-mark. The COVID-19 count in the state now stands at 15536.
The number of active cases in Assam is now 5650 with 9848 recoveries.
So far, 35 fatalities have been reported in the state.
On the other hand, among the 936 cases reported on Friday, 521 positive cases are from Guwahati alone.
Meanwhile, the Assam health department under minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has been gearing up with elaborate testing and treatment facilities.
Till Friday, 525,485 tests were conducted in Assam.
