Guwahati: The election Commission on Tuesday announced elections for 3 Rajya Sabha seats of Assam on 26 March 2020.
Meantime, Congress leaders Bhubaneshwar Kalita and Sanjay Singh have resigned from their respective seats.
While, BPF leader and Rajya Sabha MP, Biswajit Daimary’s term is going to end soon.
According to the Election Commission, the notification would be issued on 3rd March 2020. The last date of withdrawing of nominations would be March 13 and polling would be on March 26, from 9 AM to 4 PM.
The elections to all 55 Rajya Sabha seats over 17 states set to be vacated in April will be held on 26 March as per the Election Commission.
