Assam: Union Minister Teli convoy in accident, 3 hurt


Union Minister Rameshwar Teli’s convoy met with an accident in Assam’s Jagiroad on Friday

According to reports, the convoy was travelling from Guwahati to Kaziranga.

Several cars of the convoy has been damaged in the accident.

Although Teli emerged from the incident unharmed, three bodyguards including the driver were hurt in the accident.

Of the seven car convoy, four cars rammed into each other after one of the cars hit a barricade on the National Highway, sources said.

The injured people are currently undergoing treatment at Mahatma Gandhi Model Hospital in Jagiroad.

Earlier on April 8, a youth was injured after being hit by a vehicle that was part of Teli’s convoy in Dibrugarh.

The incident took place near the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), wherein the youth identified as Deepjyoti Bhattacharya of Barman Nagar was critically injured.
