Assam: Two held with heroin worth Rs 4 crores while travelling in a bus

The Assam Tribune reported that a bus coming from Manipur bearing registration No AR-20/2700 was intercepted. During the thorough search altogether 48 numbers of soap boxes containing 586 grams of Heroin were recovered from two rice bags.

In this connection, two persons from Manipur were apprehended and have been identified as Irengbam Kokil (35) and Irengbam Babu Singha (32), the sources said.

The drugs were sized under the physical supervision of John Das, SDPO, Bokajan and Bitupan Chutia, OC, Dilai police station. The market value of the seized heroin is expected be worth Rs 4 crores.
