GUWAHATI: In a sensational incident, thieves looted Rs. 22 lakh from two ATMs at Ketekibari, Tezpur. The thieves reportedly cut open two State Bank of India ATMs in the area and took away Rs. 22 lakh.
SBI officials came to know about it after two days as the shutters of the ATMs were down. On the other hand, the CCTV cameras of the ATMs had been painted with white colour by the miscreants.
The Tezpur Police suspects that someone from the bank may be involved as it looks like an inside job.
