Guwahati: Assam Rifles seized foreign-origin cigarettes worth Rs approximately 52 lakhs from Chhungte village in Champhai district of Mizoram.
On September 4 Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles along with the Customs Department of Mizoram conducted a joint operation and successfully recovered the contraband of foreign-origin cigarettes.
Taking to Twitter Assam Rifles wrote, “ASSAM RIFLES SEIZE FOREIGN ORIGIN CIGARETTES IN MIZORAM Serchhip Battalion of #AssamRifles, in a joint operation with Customs Department, on 04 Sep, seized 40 Cases of foreign origin cigarettes worth Rs 52 Lakhs from Chhungte, Vill, Champhai Dist in Mizoram.”
