Nine near-simultaneous explosions rocked Guwahati, Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon and Barpeta Road that were orchestrated by the Ranjan Daimary-led faction of the NDFB.

“Solemn tributes and prayers for the victims of the October 30, 2008 serial bomb blasts in Assam,” Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal paid his tributes to the victims through a tweet.

On the other hand, families of the victims also remembered their dear ones with teary eyes.

The parents of advocate Bipul Nath who was killed in the blast at CJM court, Guwahati still weep remembering their son.

“In the last 12 years, I have been living with a fire inside me. We have also not got much from the government except some money,” said Bipul’s mother at their Sipajhar residence in Darrang district.
