GUWAHATI: The Congress has announced the candidate for the prestigious Titabar seat which was held by former chief minister Tarun Gogoi. The grand old party has fielded Bhaskarjyoti Barua as its candidate for Titabar.
Former three-time chief minister Tarun Gogoi who died on November 23 had been representing the Titabar constituency since 2001.
The party also announced candidates for Dhakuakhana and Naoboicha assembly constituencies which will go to polls in the first phase on March 27.
The Congress candidate for Naoboicha is former minister Bharat Chandra Narah and for Dhakuakhana, the nominee is Padma Lochan Doley.
