GUWAHATI: Assam Police conveyed their best wishes to Border Security Force (BSF) on the occasion of latter’s 56th Raising Day.

As per the official website of BSF, ‘India’s first line of defence’ was officially raised in accordance with an Act of the Indian Parliament on December 1, 1965, soon after the India-Pakistan War of 1965.
Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal also took to Twitter to extend his best wishes to the paramilitary force.
“My salute to all members of the @BSF_India family on #BSFRaisingDay. Their exemplary valour and sacrifice while guarding the borders of the nation is our pride and inspiration. Jai Hind,” Sonowal wrote.
