GUWAHATI: Special Branch and Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested another prime accused in Assam Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment case that had rocked the state. The accused Rubul Hazarika has been arrested from Nalbari on Friday.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for law and order GP Singh interrogated Rubul Hazarika in Nalbari. He is now being brought to Guwahati.
Hazarika was associated with Akshay Telecommunication, the company which got the sub-contract for conducting SI recruitment scam. The company was allegedly involved in the question paper leak case. Its office at Bongaigaon was sealed by the police.
Earlier in the day, another accused Saruj Sarma was arrested from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati.
