GUWAHATI: Assam Police on Sunday raided an illegally-operated Aadhaar centre in Barpeta district of Lower Assam. A police team of Barpeta Police Station conducted the crackdown on the illegal centre and apprehended five persons.
“Based on credible info, a Police team of Barpeta PS raided an illegally operated Aadhar Centre and apprehended 5 persons who duped people by selling Aadhar Card illegally. Also recovered computer,mobiles and other accessories from them,” Barpeta Police tweeted.
