Assam: Plasma donation campaign receives massive response

GUWAHATI: Responding to Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma’s call, many recovered COVID-19 patients have come forward to donate plasma in order to strengthen the state’s fight against COVID-19.

On Sunday, 43-year old Ajay Kumar More from Rehabari in Guwahati donated his plasma to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Plasma Bank. Health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma appreciated the plasma donor for his valuable contribution in the fight against Coronavirus.

“We request more people to take inspiration from our #plasmaheroes & come forward for this noble cause,” Dr. Sarma mentioned in a tweet.

It needs to be mentioned that every plasma donor has been provided with a certificate of appreciation.

The recovered COVID-19 patients can call 104 to donate their plasma.
