GUWAHATI: After Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora alleged anomalies in relief distribution amid lockdown, minister of state for health and family welfare department Pijush Hazarika dismissed the allegations and termed it as completely baseless.
Speaking to media persons, minister Hazarika said that the list of the deprived households sent by Ripun Bora included many well-off families. Many of them are government teachers, manager of company and belong to a sound economic background. So, there is no question of providing them relief materials or financial aid meant for the poor families.
