Assam: Over 2.3 Lakh students appear for HS exams 2020


GUWAHATI: A total of 2,34,809 students are appearing in the 2020 HS examination that started from today across 772 centers in Assam. 1,75,175 students from Arts stream, 40,588 from Science stream, 18,178 from Commerce stream and 868 students will appear in the Vocational stream.

This session’s examinations are being conducted under strict rules and regulations and section 144 (prohibits the assembly of four or more people in an area) has been imposed near the examination centers.

The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) board has taken preventive measures to stop students from using cellphones and other such devices. Mobile signal Jammers have been installed at various exam centers across the state.
