GUWAHATI: Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) MLA from Assam’s Naharkatia constituency Naren Sonowal has tested positive for COVID-19.
Earlier, another MLA from Dibrugarh district—Rituparna Barua of Lahowal constituency was found Coronavirus positive.
On the other hand, hills area development minister Sum Ronghang had tested COVID-19 positive on Saturday. Ronghang is the first minister in Assam to get infected with COVID-19.
He is being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) at a private hospital in Guwahati.
