GUWAHATI: Assam hills area development minister Sum Ronghang has tested COVID-19 positive on Saturday. Ronghang is the first minister in Assam to get infected with COVID-19.
He is being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) at a private hospital in Guwahati.
On the other hand, Haflong MLA Bhadra Hagjer has also been found positive for novel coronavirus.
So far, top 26 politicians including one minister, 20 MLAs, 2 MPs in the state have tested positive for COVID-19.
