GUWAHATI: Kamrup (Metro) district has recorded the highest number of COVID-19 deaths in Assam. The death toll in the district is 64. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Kamrup (Metro) district is followed by Dibrugarh with 39 COVID-19 deaths.
On the other hand, Cachar, Tinsukia, Karimganj and Kamrup (Rural) districts reported 25, 20, 18 and 17 deaths respectively. So far, the state has recorded 286 deaths.
