GUWAHATI: “Assam is not safe now,” said Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. Reiterating that Assam is no longer safe amid the surge of COVID-19 positive cases, Dr. Sarma urged the people intending to return to the State to change their decision.
“Assam is not safe now. People who wanted to return to Assam considering it as a safe place, they should change their decision,” said Dr. Sarma.
He also stated that no one should come on road.
“People come in buses and trucks without maintaining social distance. Because of them this unexpected situation has arisen,” added Dr. Sarma.
He also stated that the State Government would write to other states not to allow people travel without maintaining social distance.
