Assam: Inter-district movement allowed from today

GUWAHATI: The rules to contain COVID-19 pandemic have been partially relaxed by the Assam government from today. Under the new rules, inter-district vehicles have been allowed with 50 per cent capacity from Monday to Friday. Earlier, inter-district movement was allowed only on Monday and Tuesday.

With the easing of rules, normal life has been restored in Guwahati and other parts of Assam. Vehicular movement including city bus service and other public transport started operation maintaining COVID-19 protocols. On the other hand, the restriction on opening of shops on one side of the road has been withdrawn

However, weekend lockdown will remain in force in the state. The night curfew has been relaxed 9 PM to 5 AM.
