Assam Govt to set up State-Of-The-Art veterinary hospitals in Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Tezpur & Golaghat

Guwahati: To provide best critical care to stray and pet animals, the Assam Government has decided to set up four state-of-the-art veterinary hospitals in Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Tezpur and Golaghat.

This was announced by Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday (January 12).

On Wednesday, the Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of the process with Animal Husbandry and Veterinary department, and directed the department to ensure the best of the treatments and response to the health of stray and pet animals in the state.

He also assured fulfillment of all requirements of the department in this connection.

“To provide best critical care to stray and pet animals, we are setting up 4 state-of-the-art veterinary hospitals in Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Tezpur and Golaghat,” CM Sarma tweeted.

“Reviewed progress of the process with Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Dept and assured fulfillment of all requirements,” he added.
