Assam Govt receives 2 thousand emails from people stranded overseas


GUWAHATI: The Assam Government has so far received 2 thousand emails from Indian citizens stranded abroad amid COVID-19 lockdown. This has been shared by Assam chief secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna on Twitter.

“We have recd more than 2K emails from the Indian Nationals stranded overseas.These have been shared with the MEA.However,as per GoI SOP, all such people ARE TO register with their respective missions/embassies for their return journey. It’s a PREREQUISITE to begin the process,” the chief secretary wrote.
