Guwahati: In a major relief to the unemployed youth in Assam, the Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Department of the Assam government has organised district-wise job mela starting from today (December 22) to December 28.
According to reports, this mela would be the largest ever job mela in the state.
For the Kamrup Metro the job mela will be held at the District Employment Office, Rehabari, Guwahati on December 23.
All the candidates who passed HSLC and more will be eligible for participating as job seekers in the mela. The job seekers are asked to bring 2 copies of their CV’s to the venue.
The mela will start from 10 am to 4 pm on the given respective dates.
Job Fairs are being held by the Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Department for the unemployed youth in different districts.

According to the state government announcement those who have passed HSLC, ITI, BE/BTC, etc, would be eligible for participating in the mela. The government has hoped that it would help reduce the state burgeoning unemployment problem.
The Assam Job Fair would provide employment to educated unemployed inhabitants of the state.
Unemployed citizens will be hired based on their educational background. Employers will be able to recruit folks based on their needs at this employment fair.
This programme is open to any unemployed individual who is educated.
Unemployed persons will be offered job possibilities based on their qualifications. On the designated date, this fair will be held in the districts. Employers and unemployed folks will be on the same footing under this Maha.
Citizens and employers can choose each other based on their preferences and needs.
