GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi has extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of 72nd Republic Day.
“I offer my greetings and best wishes to the people of Assam on the occasion of 72nd Republic Day,” Mukhi said in a message.
He also paid tributes to the freedom fighters and framers of the constitution of India on this significant day for the country.

“On this day, I offer my salutation to the freedom fighters of our Nation for their spirited endeavour to free our country from the shackles of foreign dominion. I pay my sincere homage to the founding fathers and the framers of our Constitution and the great leaders who shaped our destiny,” the Governor stated.
“Let us rise above our individual identities and imbibe the noble ideals of our great patron saints Sankardeva and Azan Pir as we march together,” he added.
