Assam: Governor, CM Sonowal, Min Himanta Biswa Sarma convey Eid greetings

GUWAHATI: Assam governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi has extended his greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Eid-Al-Adha, a festival of sacrifice. Taking to Twitter Prof. Mukhi expressed his hope that the celebrations of Eid-Al-Adha will strengthen the communal amity and brotherhood in the state.

“The celebrations of Eid-Al-Adha must fortify the bonds of communal amity, brotherhood and usher in a sustained peace, progress and prosperity in our State,” the governor said in a tweet.

Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal also took to Twitter to convey his wishes on the occasion of holy festival of Eid.

“Greetings on Eid-ul-Zuha. May the holy occasion of sacrifice, brotherhood and love bring good health, happiness, peace and harmony in everyone’s life,” Sonowal tweeted.

Greeting the citizens on the sacred day, Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma appealed everyone to pray to the Almighty for his blessings to overcome the critical times of the pandemic.

“Eid Greetings for all! May the festival of sacrifice, brotherhood & love bring joy, prosperity & good health for all. Let’s pray to Almighty to bless us with strength & patience to help us overcome these critical times,” Dr. Sarma said in a tweet.
