GUWAHATI: The Assam Government Education Department is getting ready to reopen schools and colleges from November. As the Coronavirus condition is improving day by day, the Assam Government is getting ready to reopen Government schools and colleges across the state.
The Central Government will issue new guidelines on October 15 for the educational institutions that will reopen from first November.
“Central Government will issue new guidelines for reopening of schools across the country. The guidelines will be issued between October 15 and 20. Schools can be reopened following the new guidelines,” said Assam Education Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Sarma added, “Schools will start classes from November 1 after the Durga Puja season.”
It is to be mentioned that Classes of 9, 10, 11 and 12 have already started on alternate days and the same rules and regulations will be followed for other classes of schools and colleges, too.
