Assam Government launches Project Sadbhawna

Guwahati: The Assam government has conceptualized Project Sadbhawna under which under which old files pending at Secretariat will be cleared at the same time help government in moving towards e-governance.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that the project will start off  November 10.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma also tweeted about its launch. He tweeted   

“Launched Project Sadbhawna as part of our efforts to make governance people-friendly. We aim at clearing all old files prior to May 10, 2021 pending at Secretariat by May 10, 2022. The project will alleviate the hardships of citizens as they won’t have to visit Govt offices.”

“We plan to start off the project by Nov 10. Citizens will be able to share their file numbers at Govt of Assam & RTPS portals, facilitation centres & at a dedicated counter outside Secretariat. This will also help in focusing on governance and migrating to e-governance”, tweeted Himanta Biswa Sarma

Speaking about the project, Chief Minister said, “Citizens will be able to share their file numbers at Govt of Assam & RTPS portals, facilitation centres & at a dedicated counter outside Secretariat.

“This will also help in focusing on governance and migrating to e-governance”, added Sarma.

The first phase will serve s a three month for the citizens for registration and quoting file numberson RTPS portal govt website. People without internet can approach public facilitations centre to share details.

In the second phase the dept will get 3 months to clear all old cases and close the files. Due diligence regarding old cases to be done by departments and final decisions taken.

As stated by the state govt, the benefits are as follows-

-Quick closure of old cases
-Focus on current matters by resolving old cases
-Tracking of file movements on portal
-Reduce visits of people to secretariat
