Assam girl Kangan Baruah Nangia plays parallel lead in Sony TV’s ‘Beyhadh 2’

GUWAHATI: Making the state proud, Assam girl Kangan Baruah Nangia is playing the parallel lead in Sony TV’s popular show Beyhadh 2.

Kangan who hails from Margherita under Tinsukia district has been featured as Ananya in the sequel of one of the most popular romantic television series.

She is already done with the shooting of 27 episodes of Beyhadh 2, out of which 23 episodes have been aired.

Kangan, who is a daughter of Gautam Baruah Nangia and Monica Baruah Nangia was passionate for acting and singing since her school days.

“DPS Digboi was my middle school. I was first introduced to stage plays and musical plays during my high school days at Assam Valley School. They focus a lot on singing and dancing. Assam has always been strong in singing and dancing culture.” Kangan told to News Live.

“I worked a lot for theatre when I was studying at Miranda House in Delhi. Then I moved to Bombay,” said the actress.

In her career in Mumbai, Kangan has also worked with many Bollywood stalwarts.

“DHFL was the first advertisement I had worked for. It was directed by Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari and Shahrukh Khan was also there in the advertisement. Shahrukh Khan is a humble and down-to-earth human being.” Kangan recalled her experiences of working with ‘Baadshah of Bollywood.’

She also undertook acting classes from veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher.

Meanwhile, parents of Kangan Baruah Nangia also expressed their happiness over her achievements in Mumbai.
