GUWAHATI: Five United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA- I) cadres were apprehended by Indian Army and Assam Police during a joint operation on Wednesday in Sonari under Charaideo district of Assam.
A huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Apurba Gogoi alias Aarohon Assam, Simanta Gogoi alias Maina, Biraj Assam alias Jogen Gogoi, Lakshajit Gogoi alias Dhruba Assam, Siddhart Gogoi alias Chinmoi Assam.
It is to be mentioned that the accused are involved in a number of kidnappings as well as bomb blast incidents in Assam.
