GUWAHATI: Serial explosions rocked Assam. Three incidents have been reported from Dibrugarh, Duliajan and Sonari on Sunday.
Two explosions took place in Dibrugarh. One near Astha Hospital and the other near Marwaripatty, Gurudwara. A school wall has been damaged. There are doubts that the grenade was thrown from the mathauri (embankment) nearby.
Condemning the explosions Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, “This is cowardice. Have asked the police administration to catch the culprits immediately.”
The explosion at Duliajan took place near the Duliajan police station.
In Sonari two bike borne persons lobbed a grenade near Dodhar Aali (road).
No casualities have been reported.
