GUWAHATI, Oct 17: In a tragic incident, a woman was trampled to death by a wild elephant at Bhalukdubi in Goalpara this morning.
The woman, identified as Mehbooba Alam Ahmed, had gone for a morning stroll when she was attacked by the elephant.
The woman lived at Kalpana Nagar locality of Goalpara town. After the incident was reported, a team of police and forest officials arrived at the spot and brought the body to a local hospital for post-mortem.
