ASSAM ELECTIONS: ALL Winners from AIUDF

GUWAHATI: The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) party led by Badruddin Ajmal won in a total of 16 seats out of the 24 seats they contested. AIUDF contested in 24 seats where 21 seats as an ally of the Congress-led grand alliance and the remaining 3 other seats in a friendly manner.

Assam has a 126-member assembly and 64 seats are needed for a simple majority.

The Counting of votes began at 8 AM on Sunday morning. Assam voted in three phases on March 27, April 1 and April 6.

Here is the list of winners from the AIUDF party.

  1. Dhing- Aminul Islam
  2. Dalgaon- Mojibur Rahman
  3. Chenga- Ashraful Hussain
  4. Jonia- Hafiz Rafikul Islam
  5. Bhabanipur – Phanidhar Talukdar
  6. Bilasipara East – Samsul Huda
  7. Bilasipara West – Hafiz Bashir Ahmed
  8. Gauripur – Nizanur Rahman
  9. Dhubri- Nazrul Hoque
  10. Mancachar- Aminul Islam
  11. Sonai- Karim Uddin Barbhyan
  12. Algapur: Nijam Uddin Choudhury
  13. Katlichera – Suzam Uddin Laskar
  14. Hailakandi – Zakir Hussain Laskar
  15. Badarpur – Abdul Aziz
  16. Jamunamukh – Siraj Uddin Ajmal

Earlier in 2016 election, AIUDF won 13 seats.

In 2021, the number increased to 16.
