A student of Dibrugarh University was killed and four others were injured in a major accident that took place at Jamugurihat in Sonitpur district on July 8 morning.
The accident took place early Saturday morning when a Swift vehicle, registered as ‘AS01BG9710’, collided with a dumper truck from behind at a high speed.
The deceased has been identified as Luku Sharma.
As per inputs, the accident occurred when the car that they were travelling in ramped into a tipper truck from behind. They were reportedly travelling to Mangaldoi from Dibrugarh when the tragic mishap took place.
The impact of the collision resulted in the death of Sharma and injuries to four others.
Local police arrived at the spot and took stock of the situation. The injured people were immediately rushed to Tezpur Medical College and Hospital.
