GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday announced that curfew in rural areas of the state would come in force from 2 p.m. instead of 5 p.m. He also stated the order for curfew in urban areas from 12 p.m. would continue till June 5.
“Earlier, curfew started in rural areas from 5 p.m. Now curfew in villages will start from 2 p.m. The curfew in urban areas from 12 p.m. would continue till June 5,” Sarma said at Srirampur in Kokrajhar district.
