Assam CM’s security breach: TRS leader Nand Kishore Vyas booked

In what comes as a big development concerning the security breach incident of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Telangana’s Hyderabad, the police on Saturday registered a case against the ruling Telangana Rashtriya Samithi leader Nand Kishore Vyas who climbed onto the stage of a Ganeshotsav rally at Mojamjahi Market, breaching the security cover of the Assam Chief Minister.

According to the Hyderabad police, TRS leader Nand Kishore Vyas has been booked under sections 354, 341 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code for breaching CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s security.

Notably, this comes after the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, led by Amit Shah, took note of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s security breach and requested a response from the Telangana Chief Secretary.

It may also mentioned here that Assam DGP Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta also spoke to Telangana DGP on phone about the incident.

It was only on Saturday that the Assam Chief Minister, while addressing the media, recalled the incident and termed the incident to be premeditated.

Sarma also stated that that had the incident taken place in Assam, the police would have been more stringent.

It is worth mentioning that following the Friday security breach, accused TRS leader Vyas was taken to the Abid Road Police Station but was later released.
