Assam CM visits house of ANM for honouring role in Covid fight

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday visited the house of Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) Daizy Das at Adrasha Nagar, 10 Mile in the city and felicitated ANMs Daizy Das, Garima Das and Jonaki Daimary on the occasion of 75th Independence Day for their exemplary dedication and commitment in the Covid vaccination drive.

All three ANMs have been performing their duties in the vaccination campaign in GMCH where a total of 68343 vaccine doses have been administered till now.

Later talking to the media persons, the Chief Minister said that the ANMs performed admirably while dedicatedly delivering vaccination services and they have been felicitated to recognise and honour the contribution of all such Covid warriors in the state during the fight against the pandemic.

He also expressed optimism that the target of 1.5 crore vaccine doses would be achieved by August 20. Principal of GMCH Dr. Achyut Ch. Baishya, Superintendent GMCH Dr. Abhijit Sarma also accompanied the Chief Minister on the occasion.
