Assam CM Sonowal inspects quarantine facilities at Dibrugarh

GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday inspected quarantine facilities in Dibrugrah town in upper Assam. Sonowal visited quarantine facilities at MDKG College and DHSK College and reviewed the arrangements made to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

CM Sonowal was accompanied by Dibrugarh MLA Prasanta Phukan.

“With many people across India homebound towards Assam, it is imperative to ramp up quarantine and screening facilities to contain the spread of #COVID19,” Sonowal stated in a Tweet.

So far Assam has reported total 222 COVID-19 cases. Currently, there are 161 active cases in the State.
