GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday issued instruction to fix the rate for COVID-19 treatment in the private hospitals of the state. In a review meeting with the health department, patient-friendly rates for COVID treatment in general and super-specialty wards were also decided.
“Issued instructions to fix the rates for #COVID19 treatment in private hospitals. Affordable rates have been fixed for both general & super-speciality wards,” said CM Sarma in a series of tweets.
Along with Health Min @keshab_mahanta took stock of #COVID19 management in the state.

The chief minister directed the health department not to allow home quarantine to COVID patients of any age group with comorbidity. Such patients will be kept in institutional quarantine.
“Also directed officials to ramp up the vaccination process to inoculate maximum people at the earliest,” CM Sarma added.
