Guwahati: The Assam Government has allocated rs 25 crore to Gauhati University for startup ecosystem.
This was announced by Assam Finance Minister Ajanta Neog while presenting the State Budget for the financial year 2022-23 on Wednesday (March 16).
The State government also allocated Rs 15 crore each to Assam University, Tezpur University and Silchar University for infrastructure development.
Further, Rs 25 crore to be allocated to Assam Agriculture University, Rs 15 crore for Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Guwahati and Rs 10 crore for Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Guwahati.
Moreover, Rs 10 crore has also been earmarked for building a Science block in Haflong College.
