Guwahati: Assam Finance Minister Ajanta Neog on Wednesday (March 16) presented the Assam Budget 2022 in the State Legislative Assembly.
The Finance Minister announced several schemes, development projects, including infrastructure.
In the Assam Budget 2022, the state government has proposed to construct new airports in Karbi Anglong & Silchar, along with three new heliports at Nagaon, Geleki and Haflong.
The Finance Minister also announced active engagement with the Government of India for a Greenfield Airport at Diphu and a joint survey for the de-notification of 180 acres of forest land for the development of Rupsi Airport.
