Guwahati: A youth in Bongaigaon district of western Assam ran away from quarantine centre to marry his girlfriend. The boy identified as Khurshid Alom was under quarantine at Simolitola Part two LP School after his return from Mumbai.
However, Khurshid managed to escape quarantine on Saturday night. Reportedly, he was trying to elope with his girlfriend who is a resident of Paresar in Abhayapuri area. Later on Sunday, police detained the couple.
While Khurshid has been sent againt to the quarantine centre, police handed over the girl to her family.
