GUWAHATI: In a major boost to Assam’s fight against the spread of Coronavirus, laboratory of Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital, Barpeta has been accredited by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for Covid-19 testing.
The good news has been shared by Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Twitter.
“Happy to inform that Barpeta Medical college laboratory is accredited by ICMR for COVID-19 testing from today. It becomes the 5th lab of Assam to achieve this. This will further enhance our capacity for a much wider community testing, especially in lower Assam,” tweeted Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
