GUWAHATI: The Assam Assembly Election campaign for all three phases will end 48 hours prior to the polling time, said the Election Commission of India on Wednesday.
On Saturday(March 27) the first phase of the assembly election in Assam will be held in 47 constituencies comprising of 12 districts. There are a total of 81,09,815 electors.
It is to be mentioned that there are 264 candidates contesting in the first phase of the Assam Assembly elections.
“Assam is scheduled to go to polls in Three Phases with polls due on March 27, April 1, and April 6 for the 126 ACs across 33530 Polling Stations covering more than 2.33 crore electors,” stated ECI in a press release.
