GUWAHATI: A large-scale anomalies have been reported in Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi at Hatigarh in Chaygaon area under Kamrup district of Assam. Local people have alleged that names of many fake beneficiaries have been included in the ambitious scheme for the benefit of the farmers.

“This list should be cancelled. The genuine farmers should get the benefit from the scheme,” said a local man.

Villagers alleged that though there are around 300 genuine farmers in the village, only 50 persons have been included in the list of beneficiaries.

“Among the 50 beneficiaries, there are 46 people from minority community. But there is no minority population in our village. The person whoever prepared this list should be arrested and punished,” demanded a villager.
