GUWAHATI: Seven COVID-19 patients including Dr. Lithikesh DS, a post-graduate student of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Guwahati have been discharged from hospitals after they have recovered from the disease. Taking to Twitter Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that two patients from Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) and four patients from Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) have been discharged on Wednesday. Dr. Lithikesh DS has been discharged from GMCH.

With this the active cases count in Assam has become 102. While the state has reported a total of 157 COVID-19 positive cases, 48 patients have been discharged from different hospitals after their recovery from COVID-19.
